South Mumbai and part of navi mumbai is clearly visible on google earth. But the north mumbai and the suburbs are still far from clear. Banglore and delhi are also available. I was shocked to see the absence of trees fropm Banglore. I once heard it is garden city of India. Or did I look at wrong part of the city.

Our president's house (Rashtrapati Bhavan) is clearly visible. But I heard, It is forbidden to take images of Presidents house(from any country) or fly over it. Is it true??

If somebody wants the satellite images,he can well obtain from any intelligence agencies across the world.Every secret agency keeps the maps/images of every other country. So ban won't be helpful.

I have seen in Discovery Channel that US has such strong satellites in that orbit that they can even trace down the number plate of the car.

Please try not to use a Java site to make political comments.

It is likely this thread will be trashed, locked or 'censored'. Please try not to make comments like this, it just creates more work for people trying to support the site.

Google Earth is such a wonder piece of software, I spend hours on it!

Try enabling the National Geographic layer on it you can browse brilliant photos from the national geographic gallery related to the specific region you are looking at.

And it wont be long before someone comes up with a custom layer and a flight path, to do something like a complete guided tour of early human migration acorss the planet, or something like that!
