Custom Interceptor or Chain Interceptor

I have a problem, and i have resolved it in a way using Struts 2. But I am looking for a better solution.

I have a security profile based authorization / authentication, for which I am using an interceptor for authentication. But for authorization, I have to use another interceptor. There are some places where both or either of the information needs to be interceptor is required. For that reason, I have created another interceptor (with combination) and put all the items in that. I am looking for a more sophisticated solution. Similar to Filters concept in Servlets.

Any thoughts?

Can't you put the information in the session or request attribute so you can pull out the information anywhere you want?
