As to #1, there have been several discussions in this forum about the pros and cons of using Stripes. Use the Search link at the top of the page to find those discussions.
As to #2, "Stripes: ...And Java Web Development Is Fun Again" by Frederic Daoud is available as a PDF from Pragmatic Programmers. I'm reading it right now, and it is an excellent introduction with many code examples.
As to #3, check out the sections "Best Practices" and "How To's" on the Stripes home page.

You've already decided to use Stripes yet you don't know the advantages and disadvantages of using it? Or is it that someone decided to use it and now you are inquiring about it? I hope it is the latter.

Trying to nudge you in the right direction: when you seacrhed for all the topics for "stripes" in this forum -there are only 100 or so- did none of the subjects jump out at you? I'd have thought that at least a dozen would sound highly relevant if you're curious about Stripes' advantages and drawbacks, and want compare it with other frameworkx.
