Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is the best API in the market today for parsing Excel workbooks.

I have heard of POI but is there anything better?

There is rarely a single "best" for anything. The closest you can get is generally "best for your requirements".

There's also http://www.andykhan.com/jexcelapi/ although its development has slowed down compared to POI, and there's no sign that it will ever deal with the Office XML formats (which POI can now handle).

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
