Initial Heap Size

Will a higher value for the initial heap size make a difference when the maximun value is unchanged? ("-Xms128m -Xmx512m" Vs "-Xms256m -Xmx512m")

One difference is that if you start with a low initial value, when your application needs more memory, the user that sent the request causing the need for more memory will see an unexpected delay and may think that there is a serious problem.
