Java web application issue

Hello all,

I have deployed a web application on Apache/Tomcat and on HP-Ux,When I logout of that application.Listener port which was used is not closing voluntarily because of this after few login and logouts application gets hanged.Please suggest.Thanks

Which listener port are you talking of Tomcat's 8080 or 8084 or something else.
If it is so, then this might not be the problem. Are you sure there is nothing wrong with your application?

Hey Amit,
Thanks for the fast reply.I am using 9111 as listener port on apache/tomcat.when I do lsof|grep 9111, this shows that previous listener port connection are still established,but when I kill this by process id application works fine.I could not figure out why this application is not releasing the ports voluntarily,This is the reason it gets hanged while loading the login page.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
