Default page for URL root

Hi-
I maintain an application that runs on JBoss 4.2.2. The security team notified me recently that the dafault page that is displayed for the URL root (i.e. 'http://urlRoot/') is the JBoss default console page. I need to reconfigure the default page to be a customized default page that I create. I have looked in the config XMLs, but can't determine how to do this. Any suggestions???

A few ways.

1) The root app is located at server/xxx/jboss-web.deployer/ROOT.war. You can change the contents of that directory to reflect your app. For example, change the index.html file to show a different page.

2) You could remove the ROOT.war, and in the WAR file for one of your apps add a WEB-INF/jboss-web.xml file with these contents:

<jboss-web>
<context-root>/</context-root>
</jboss-web>

That app will now use the root context.
