Here is my adopted best friend, Milton. I was at a shelter looking for an "exotic" longhaired cat, but Milton was the one that kept coming back to sit with me, so I had to take him home.
And here is Rory, a cat that I'm sponsoring at Home for Life, a lifelong sanctuary for animals that were considered "unadoptable" at other shelters and probably would have been euthanized. Rory is paraplegic after being shot in the back, but she's a sweet loving cat that gets around just fine using her front paws.

This is my cat Poesie. I got her in the summer of 2002 from a girlfriend. Poesie had 5 kittens at her home, but she already had three other cats, and Poesie started to fight with the others because she wanted to protect her kittens. So after a few weeks we moved Poesie and the kittens to my home. We gave the kittens away when they were a few months old, and Poesie is still living with me.

Thanks, Bear! Interesting story with her - a friend of a friend knew someone who had the puppies, but kept them in the back of a small horse trailer - 24/7. She was 6 months old when we got her. It took 20 minutes to get her out of the trailer, and when we set her down on the ground, she was SO "freaked out" by being outside - she'd never experienced any of it before. She's really come around & is probably the most "lovey" pup we have! She's going to AZ in a couple weeks with hubby & we'll see how she works cattle.
