"Breakfast" being the meal you eat first when you wake up in the morning? I can't believe no one has mentioned coffee. The number one ingredient to breakfast is an enormous cup of coffee; everything else is secondary (usually for me it's a bowl of Cheerios or something similar.)

People start their day with Tea/Coffee here.
I believe in north side of the India, people prefer tea rather than coffee.
In south India, coffee is prevalent.

I believe many guys move to office just having cup of tea here.

Lots of my friends said after marriage my circumference has increased....I am planning to start doing some vigorous workouts starting next year..

so my point is that for me and my friend its like a competition.
in our canteen they serve different dishes.
some combinations are

idly + sambar / chutney
......i will take 6-8 idlis

steam cake+kadala curry/grean peaase curry/banan
......i will take 3-5 piece 1 banana/enough curry



uppumaa +papadam/banana
.....1 and a half plate and 2 banana+2 t-spoon sugar

dosaaa and chatni/green piese
......5-7 dosa

+one cup of tea

SUPERB!!! isnt it
