I have gone to the Sun site to download the J2EE, per the Servlet assignments instructions, but I can only find J2EE version 1.3 which only runs on Windows 2000/NT. I am running Windows 98. Does any one know the link for a Win98 version or will the Win2000 work?
I have tried to compile the BeeServlet example with out downloading the J2EE, but I get the "cannot access javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet file javax\servlet\http\HttpServlet.class not found..." error message.
I am using JDK version 1.3.0.

i downloaded that one and am using it on my win98 machine... it works just fine. i was thinking the same thing you are, but i took a chance and installed it... no problems yet.

Yes I got it to work.
I downloaded and installed the J2EE from Sun. The only Windows operating systems they list are for Win2000/NT. I am running Win98, so I wasn't sure if the Win2000/NT version would work. It does.

Sorry I misread your original posting.
I did not see that you asked if the version that you could download would work with Windows 98. :O
