I also needed couple of laptops just for internet and games for my little cousins. I bought 2 used laptops on ebay last week. Each under $90 + $20s/h. both IBM thinkpad, Pentium 3 (can lookup details if needed). Recieved them 3 days ago, they work fast enough for internet and games.. I spent another $40 on some small accessories - all set now. both cost me $250 + 5 hours to install everything (they both came without OS)
if you have enough time to fish for bargains, ebay is a good place. It took me about 4 days bidding to get these laptops for the price I wanted.

I believe there will be another sale in BestBuy next week. they are sending out coupons. Yesterday they sold me a Camcorder and let me use coupon for next week for it. I got ($35 off $350) + $25 gift card + rewards (don't remember how it works, but I got about $400 last year just in rewards).. If you are spending more than $300 and you have reward zone or credit card with best buy, you can talk to the manager for price reduction, I always get at least 10% off whatever I buy in BestBuy regardless of sale dates if item is expensive.
