1 Question IQ test

There is a mute who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of
brushing one's teeth, he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper
and the purchase is done.

Now, if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how
should he express himself?
Think about it first before scrolling down for the answer...

He opens his mouth and says. "I would like to buy a pair of sunglasses."

If you got this wrong - please turn off your computer and call it a day.

He might smile broadly, throw back his head, and belt out "You are the sunshine of my life..." -- then wait and see if the clerk makes the connection.

How did the blind guy get to the store?
How does he know the shopkeeper is actually there when he says it?

I realize this is MD, but after the first post, the subsequent questions about the blind guy seem rather silly. You guys do realize that in the real world, many blind people wear sunglasses / dark glasses, right? And that they can navigate by means such as a seeing eye dog, and that they can sometimes detect the presence of other people by, I dunno, hearing them? Or even speaking with them?

As far as why do many blind people wear sunglasses - I believe the biggest reason is to reduce awkwardness when interacting with others. Sighted people normally try to make eye contact, and can be discomfited by eyes that don't respond the normal way. Using sunglasses is a common way for blind people to make this a non-issue - the other (equally valid) response being to simply expect the sighted person to get over it.

Yes, I was wondering if it was a personality test

By the way, I failed. Does this mean I do not have an IQ?
