Varying voucher value in India

NIIT, Kolkata(India) is offering me SCJP voucher at INR 7200. But Prometric centres in Ranchi(India) and Jamshedpur(India) are offering me the same at $300.
What is the funda?
I am confused.
Can anyone say what the proper value of that voucher in India is?

Actually the value of the voucher is $300 i.e. around 12,000 INR. But NIIT has promotional schemes under which you get the voucher at lower cost...

Yes and I talked to NIIT guys and they said that NIIT has these frequent SCJP camps where they sell vouchers at a lower rate. They said more information about next camps are there at the Sun website.
Now I dont have the link, but anyone interested may search for them.

Best thing would be to leave your email-id at local NIIT center and ask them to provide information whenever such seasonal offer arrives. Apart from cost, please be careful to also check validity period of the voucher.

And that is the most important point. I can get you a voucher from NIIT for 1000 but its validity will be only 1 month. I have been to NIIT , those people buy a bulk of vouchers for their students but not all of them get sold so the left over vouchers are sold to non-NIIT crowd and because the validity of such vouchers is less than 1 year they also reduce the cost.

I am a X-NIITian. One of our faculty is still like a friend. I will tell him and he will tell me about any further schemes. I will update you guys also....

Yaar, please ask your faculty-friend for a link about such schemes. Else drop your email address with NIIT. And let me know, when you know about such scheme at earliest.

I came across this post a little late. I bought the voucher on 24th December with validity only upto 04/02/2009. I paid 7200 Rs. I got the voucher from AI Soft Technologies.

Can anybody tell me is it the same thing with other sun certifications as well? I mean SCWCD, SCBCD etc. Can we get exam vouchers of SCBCD, SCWCD at lower cost with lesser validity period?

i thought taking the scjp exam.during which time i get the scjp vochure at low price.if anybody knows the info please reply me thank you in advance
