Jquery and cursor wait

Hi i am using jquery to post my data to server which gets processed on the server side by the time data gets processed i want to show a busy cursor on the client screen to do this i have written

here at server side the servelet can take 60 seconds to 90 seconds of time but the busy cursor is not shown the default cursor is shown all the time even after the confirmation dialogue box is clicked 'ok'

can anybody suggest me how do i solve this issue...

For the cursor to change, you normally have to move the mouse off of what you clicked.

And why aren't you using jQuery to change the cursor? If you are going to use the library, use it!
