I'd start by downloading the latest Flex SDK (Flex 3) and going through some of the tutorials and resources available through Adobe's Flex Developer Center before buying a book. By going through a few intro tutorials you can judge what sort of book you need - do you need a really basic intro book? or can you pick up the basics quick and need a higher level book or one focusing on a specific area of Flex?

I am starting right from the basics of Flex to advanced level...
I currently have the book " The professional Adobe Flex 2 wriiten by Rich Tretola, Simon Barber, Renaun Erickson, WROX Edition" .
Will this book guide me to advanced level from basics?
