An interesting doubt!!! I am just accessing my J2EE application using this url like "http://localhost(or ipaddress)/Myproject"

Is there anyway to change my host name without changing my system name ?
I like to change "http://newname/Myproject". Any other settings available on service side. I'm using Tomcat5.5 in NetBeans.

You could probably map a name in your hosts file to resolve to your local IP. In order to have other computers recognize that name, you will have to set up a DNS server.
