Hello All,

The server.xml looks like this
<Valve className="org.apache.catalina.valves.AccessLogValve"
directory="logs" prefix="localhost_access_log." suffix=".txt"
pattern="%{Host}i %{User-Agent}i %{Accept}i %{Keep-Alive}i %{Proxy-Connection}i %{Cookie}i" resolveHosts="false"/>

But
localhost_access_log."date".txt log has

???{???Host}i ???{???User-Agent}i ???{???Accept}i ???{???Keep-Alive}i ???{???Proxy-Connection}i ???{???Cookie}i line,

If i change pattern to common, the logs look fine.

Can i know what can be the reason , to display question marks, and why does it work correcttly for common pattern.
