age : 25
qualification : B.Sc.IT ,MBA IT(from a small college not reputed)

I am currently working in a small firm in my territory for just 6000 INR/month.Due to current
economy calamity I am not able to find a good job in metros. And the technology I am is
working are pl/slq and a little core Java. There is seldom use of JEE in my territory.People
mostly use asp.net and php which I don't know and forgot. This is totally bad time for
me.I have been sad and frustrated for three years.I dumped a data entry operator managing
job(10,665 INR/month) in water resources for doing technical job.

I am not hundred percent healthy(indigestion, cervical problem and now depression).I want
to do something that get good money. So I am thinking about doing an MBA from good
reputed institute by cracking Cat/Gmat with good score.

or

I am also thinking about Information Security certs because some people says there is good
demand for information security specialist even in this current stage.

please feel free to say anything and suggest me whatever you think is good for me.

best regards,
omi , javaranchlover

First of all, my sincere advice is don't reinvent the wheel. Don't start from scratch again. You waited for three years patiently and wait for another 6 months to 1 year. I am sure you will get well paid job. As you know its recession time, it takes sometime for the market to recover. The work you are doing is not really bad and I've seen many job requirements for Core Java and PL/SQL developers in Singapore. I can understand your frustration but patience pays well.

Good luck dude.

From my side switching your stream because of money is not a good idea. If you enjoy coding then carry on with this.
As Sai said that current time is not so good ,as the whole economy is down. What you can do is first decide what the actual thing you want. Otherwise it may be possible that after 3 years you will feel that coding was the thing you enjoyed and managing job sucks. It may be other way round also. If you like coding then carry on with your job and keep on trying for new one. There are a lot of small companies which needs Java developer. Just keep your eyes open and build up your skill set. Going for some certifications is a good idea and contributing to some open source will certainly highlight your skills.

Guys I beg your pardon ,I think I am losing interest in coding ,I like only web development work and I intend to
work in MNC'S IT department (client side) and don't want to work in service based company. For love
of god , if I ever have to work in service based company, then I would not like to work in development field.

Please don't forget to advice me about MBA's specialization.I don't have attitude for HR because I am
very sentimental .I don't like finance.(But can take care of finance , if you strongly suggest me).

more suggestions will be highly regarded and appreciated

best regards,
omi
