Installation guide:

Prerequisite: Install a full-featured JDK (a 1.4.2 version is recommended for JBoss AS 3.2.6), such as one from Sun. Set JAVA_HOME to the directory where the JDK is installed, example:

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_11

To install: unpack the downloaded tag.gz file to a directory of your choice (I put mine at /opt/jboss/jboss-3.2.6)

To verify everything is installed correctly: Open a terminal, 'cd' to the 'bin directory, and execute: "./run". Open a browser and enter the URL http://localhost:8080. If you see the home page, congratulations, JBoss AS is now installed!

The page you linked to has instructions. Why don't you follow them?
You say you are having problems. Can you tell us the details? What have you done? What, exactly, is the problem you are having?

At some point the JBoss team decided to release binary versions of JBoss AS as ZIP files only. The ZIP file works fine on Linux, but requires one more step for installing. After unpacking it, go to the jboss_home/bin directory and run:

chmod a+x *.sh

That will make the shell scripts executable.

To deploy an application from an external directory, edit the URLs attribute in the last MBean in the file server/xxx/conf/jboss-service.xml. The file contains a detailed comment.

Thank you for reply,

i tried like this i copied the geom.war file to the deploy directory of jboss ,
but it got deployed into /server/default/tmp/deploy ,insted of /server/default/deploy so i am not geeting that directory
so it is not showing me any output what should be done in this case.

dear experts,

as i informed in the previous post that by default the .war file deploys into /tmp directory,

i manually created a directory and named with geom.war and deployed all the files are there in that directory,
but when i launch that application there is login page on giving correct login and password also it is showing login failed,
so where we need to check the data ase connection please inform. what can be reason for this type of login failure page.

If you deploy an archive file to server/xxx/deploy, JBoss AS will extract the file contents into server/xxx/tmp and run the app from there. This is so that it does not have to constantly deal with the archive file. You can also do an exploded deployment.

You have not given enough information about the login error for me to comment (I am also finding your text hard to follow because the shift key appears to be broken on your keyboard...)

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
