What i know is, to take up SCJP, we dont need to be SCJA.
Actually what does SCJA certification prove??

SCJP is the basic certification to start with. After clearing this you can go for further certifications related to Java.
First clear this. Then i'll clear you about others.

Kedar..No one can become J2EE certified at one shot. There are stages to it.

Its better to clear first stage and then talk about the higher stages.

SCJA is an entry-level certification. It shows that you understand the basics of what Java is, but it doesn't test if you can write programs in Java. If you're a programmer, then SCJA is most likely not very useful. You don't need to be SCJA-certified to do SCJP.

SCJP is the Java certification for programmers. With this, you show that you know how to program in Java.
