Hi All,

I am using tomahawk <t:inputFileUpload> component to upload files(Photos).
But when i select a file (image file with extension .jpeg, .gif etc) to upload the photo, then the other valuechangelisteners & the Partial triggers are not firing. i.e. when the upload file path is selected, upon selecting one value from one dropdown, another dropdown is not getting populated i.e. the valuechangelisteners are not getting called.

Is this the issue with the Tomahawk component or could be another problem???

Any assistance ?

Rgds,
Rax

Hey Rax,

Post your code. Let's have a look at it. Perhaps something else is going wrong.

cheers

JSPX Code: Following is the Code used for thr component in the jspx page
-------------

After selecting the image to be uploaded, when i select one value from one dropdown it should fire valuechangelistener and another
dropdown should get populated with the value based on the selection in the first drop down.
But i m getting a javascript error saying that "The Character '>' was expected"and after that no partialtriggers and valuechangelisteners are firing.

Thanks
Rax

It looks like there are a couple of errors here....

1) value="#backing_dummy_example.uploadedFilePath}"
--> looks like you're missing an open brace after the value="#

2) in your original post you said that the value change listeners were not firing when you select a file to upload, but you're not setting a value change listener in the definition of your upload file component...

you would need (I stand to be corrected because I'm not looking at the API for inputFileUpload) an onchange attribute in your component definition in order for the event to get fired...

By the way, What is a Partial Trigger?

Is the behaviour you want that when a file is selected for upload that something should happen?

Hi Darryl,

The first error you are talking about (missing an open brace) is just a typing mistake and for the second one, the value change listeners are set for other components included in the JSPX page, i.e. after i select an image to upload, i am selecting dropdown1, onchange of which it should populate other dropdown2 values based on the selection from dropdown1.
