Adding a div to a frameset

hi,
I have a page that has multiple frames to it and had all of them defined in a frameset.

I want a feature similar to lightbox when the page loads and so i got a small java script "masking.js".

When i was testing it the javascript code is executed, but didnot display the mask.

Can we add a div to a frame set which i am doing in the javascript code.
Note : all the abc's are different
