there is a java server process running in a solaris machine.
its jobis to send https request massage to the client which is running on another machine.
we are using a port for https communication
all works fine.but rarely the communication between these two process gets disconnected by throwing the following exception,
java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable
The client is pingable form the server side.but the problem still exit.
if the java server process is restarted then the issuse gets resolved.
can any one tell any suggestion for this issuse

"Network is unreachable" is usually different than a timeout error in that it cannot even find where you want it to go, for example this can be the difference between having no wifi and having your wifi card off. First do the usual fiddling with your firewall to make sure the desired port is open, and then look into any network issues you might have. Turn off firewalls and remove obstacles like routers & complications to get it working in the simplest scenario possible, since this is probably a networking problem not a coding problem.
