About 15. For 20 years or so it was < 1 and I went home for lunch every day. Then they moved office up to some silly mountain. Nice view I guess.

11 miles each way. I used to drive 35 miles each way 3 years ago for a brief while. It used to drive me nuts.

Miles? What are they? My trip to work is 11.9 km according to my bicycle computer.

45 miles one way. That leads to another thing...which car do you drive? I drive a Honda Civic 95..great on gas. I get about 33 mpg.

27 miles. If I leave between 6:15AM and 9AM it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to work. And the same going home at a normal work hour time.

I too had problems with these 'miles' thingies, I eventually found a description on some papyrus next to 'cubits'

About 6 'miles'.

4 miles for me... or a walk down the stairs if I'm working from home that day.

Jeez, what's so danged difficult about using different units? Y'all are geeks with access to Google. Deal with it.

For my last contract, the distance was:

9.5 nautical miles
88 furlongs
1.2 x 10-9 A.U.
177 teraångstroms
0.57 picoparsecs
40000 cubits (Roman, of course)

Usually driven, occasionally bicycled.

Miles, klicks, AUs, whatever.

Not relevant, hence good for this forum.

Time is.

Ah, yes. That reminds me - I left out

5.9x10-5 seconds.

Using the, y'know, obvious conversion factor.

Three miles each way. I live in one of the top ten with shortest commute time in the US.

Of course, as Jessica said, I "commute" a few steps down the stairs if I'm working from home.

Nice one. As a part-time dad I also have a short commute. ON Monday morning my wife went to work and I had a sleep in. My son woke before I did (quite rare), got up and jumped into bed with me. Getting to work involved lifting one eye lid then the other one

about 11 miles to work, about 8 miles home. That's because i have to take my daughter to daycare in the morning, but my wife picks her up in the afternoon.

Monday - 210 Miles from Home(London) to Office(Manchester)
Tue-Thu - 6 Miles from Hotel to Office
Fri - 210 Miles from Office(M) to Home(L)

Hopefully, just for another 2 months. Am hoping to get a project closer to home after that : O

Drive? I walk two miles (or get the bus if its raining).

I used to commute the best part of 100 miles a day, but then I saw sense and stopped working in the South East of England.
