Hello Authors of JBoss in Action,
Any expertise you can provide in helping us to port JBoss Cache from the JBoss App Server (4.3) to IBM Websphere 6.1 or higher would be very much appreciated. We are trying to use (re-use, since its already built) the JBossCaching mechanism for our read-only data within the application to now live in a non-JBoss application server. I know this is certainly possible, but finding details on the subject has proven difficult. The porting of the caching mechanism seems to be related to replacing the initialization of the MBean in Websphere, but there must be other "gotchas" involved in doing this, I'm thinking.

Any insight is much appreciated.

Thank you for your time.
Sunny
