In struts2 they have replace action servlet with filter dispatcher.
I want to know the reason. Why they have preferred it over servlet?
What are the reasons?
I found on net but could not find any satisfied answer.
Any body has any idea please share with me.

why dispatcher has been changed from a servlet to a servlet filter in Struts2? Anybody knows answer?
