Hello Javid and Peter,
Thank you for writing a book on this topic, I will be implementing JBoss server later this year and I will use your book. What I need to know is how much J2EE knowledge is required to read this book?

I know some basic Servlets and JSP, will this be enough to start reading this book?

Thank you.

Yes, we require very little knowledge of Java EE coding to read the book. However, if you want to understand the code behind some of the example applications, you will have to refer to resources outside of the book. But having a deep understanding of Java EE is not required.

Our examples tend to be very simply, either 'hello world' or barely more than that. We could not describe configuring an application without having an application to configure, but we did not want to get into a lot of details on how to write applications for various technologies. Thus the simple examples.
