0=0

Hence,
0-30 = 0-30

Hence
-30 = -30
Hence
25  55 = 36  66
Hence
(5)2  2(11/2)(5) = (6)2  2(11/2)(6)

Add (11/2)2 on the both side
(5)2 (11/2)(5) + (11/2)2 = (6)2  2(11/2)(6) + (11/2)2

Hence
(5-11/2)2 = (6-11/2)2

Take a square root
5  11/2 = 6- 11/2

Hence
5=6

Add 1 to both sides

Your proved that 30 = 10.
Ask me if you dont know what it means by 30=10

it should be == and not the result would be 5 == 6 False

Hence
(5)2  2(11/2)(5) = (6)2  2(11/2)(5) how come

Catch is here :
------------------------------
Hence
(5-11/2)2 = (6-11/2)2

Take a square root
5  11/2 = 6- 11/2
------------------------------

Actually A square = (+ -)A square

so

Hence
(5-11/2)2 = (6-11/2)2

square root would be
+-(5  11/2) = +-(6- 11/2)

there would be four combinations:

+(5  11/2) = +(6- 11/2) => 5=6
-(5  11/2) = +(6- 11/2) => -5 + 11/2 = 6 - 11/2 => -5 + 11 = 6 => 6=6
+(5  11/2) = -(6- 11/2) => 5 - 11/2 = -6 + 11/2 => 5 = -6 + 11 => 5=5
-(5  11/2) = -(6- 11/2) => -5 + 11/2 = -6 + 11/2 => -5 = -6

hmm some better mathematician would prove that first and last cases are imaginary cases.

So dont worry 5 is sill equal to 5 only

Why bother with the first few steps. Just start with...

(-1)^2 = (1)^2

take square root...

-1 = 1

  1. 25 - 55 = 36 - 66

  2. Hence
  3. (5)2 - 2(11/2)(5) = (6)2 - 2(11/2)(6)

  4. I dont think I follow how statement #1 leads to statement #2 ....

I think some additional operators would clear the problem up.

25 - 55 = 36 - 66

5^2 - 2*(11/2)*5 = 6^2 - 2*(11/2)*6

Better?

i think there's a notation problem. i think what the OP was trying to say is

25 - 55 = 36 - 66

hence

5^2 - (2 * (11/2) * 5) = 6^2 - (2 * (11/2) * 6)

Ah! I thought (5)2 meant 5*2, hence the confusion

[Ryan]: Why bother with the first few steps.

I assume the goal was to obfuscate where the error was. These things most always come down to either dividing by zero or taking square roots incorrectly. Everything else is just to distract the reader.
