I just wanted to know if a front end programmer (fresher) is paid better or a back end programmer (fresher) is paid more in general...

If its front end then which technology is given more importance...

can anyone say that

For fresher there is no "front end and back end". The companies are recruiting a fresher not as a java developer or database admin! Employees will be trained in different technologies. He has to work on trained technologies.

C++,JAVA and assembly back-end programmers are paid good. But it's not only programming which
help in getting good payment ,soft skills plays a very vital and important role in the subject. If you write
and understand complex Perl scripts, you will obviously get good paid.

As to front end ,Flash,Java EE and game front end designers are getting good compensation.

But it's also it depend upon companies and customers' requirement and how complex works
you are doing. The people who satisfy the customer and boss gets good paid.

If you are working in your Company's own framework, you are getting good payment.

I explained you as far as I know, there will be more replies coming.

best regards,
omi

thank you both for the information

All i wanted is just a general info....keeping aside the soft skills and other additional skills.... i am emphasizing on pure programming skills......

As said above do the company trains the recruited people..is there an option in the company that a fresher recruited to that company gets an option to choose in which programming language he can take the training

And will the mode of payment vary for different freshers joining the same company at the same time?

It always depends on an individuals interest and what the requirement is at the moment in the company that you have been hired for. If they both match you are lucky and if not you have to forgo your interest and do what the company says. Maybe you can develop your skills in the field that you are interested in on a daily basis and when the opportunity arises strike it.

Well pointed out. It is better to start with one and learn the other one later as well. It is better if you can do both. It is very hard to say which one gets paid better. Pay depends on lot of other factors like type of organization, supply & demand, calibre of the candidate, project budget, your negotiation skills, how many other offers you have, market conditions, etc. Generally organizations prefer candidates with wider range of skills (both hard & soft skills).

If one of them is married with the daughter of the owner, I'm pretty sure he will get a better deal
Now seriously: depends on the company and the person... nobody can say for sure

You seem to really want to know that...

Well from whatever I have seen yes they can get different pay scales but there is no fixed rules and nothing can be said for sure... it depends on a lot of factor for example your college from where you passed, like a IIT graduate will definitely get better pay than a graduate from some lower grade college even though both are freshers... your interview also matters a lot , if you were really good in your interview and you have the skills what the company is looking for you might end up getting more pay... there are other factors as well
