No difference. JEE is what people uses these days (Actually it came up with JEE5 if I'm not mistaken). I remember an old thread discussing the same, but sorry I couldn't find it now.

It's just a new name. Old versions (1.4 and earlier) were called J2EE, the current version (5) and future ones are called JEE.

As to why version 5 follows version 1.4, well, ... that's a different subject.
