Home Wireless Network - Help Needed

Shout to techies for help - I have been trying to resolve this since a few days but no luck.

I have a PC and a Laptop both sharing the same Wireless router to connect to the Internet but I cannot share files between them.

Any clue how to go about it ? I use a SpeedTouch 9200 Wireless Router and AOL as my ISP.

Thanks in Advance

I suspect OS and versions could be helpful for someone who would be able to answer; I'll assume here it's two Windows machines, but I'm not a Windows person myself. Do you know how to use Windows sharing in general -- i.e., could you get these two machines sharing files if they were both on a wired hub?

When I was using Windows, I was able to connect my Win98 desktop to my WinME NoteBook. But after "upgrading" to an XP desktop, I couldn't figure it out. (Maybe I'm not a geek after all.)

When I switched to Mac, I couldn't believe how easy it is to wirelessly transfer files between my PowerBook and iMac using the built-in Bluetooth file transfer.

I was facing same problem, but got it working.

Is the PC wired to the Router? And the laptop is wireless. Just share a folder in the PC and see it in ur laptop.

But i was not able to share from my laptop to desktop. my operating systems are Windows XP home and prof.

does this helps?

You probably got the XP firewall in SP2 that is messing things up.

Can you ping between the two machines ?
