Hi All,

Can someone tell me what the below piece of code means? It's in noscript tags. I am unable to paste the full code here.

img src="FlashDetectServlet.jsp?jsEnabled=false"

Thanks.

It's a trick to send a request to the server by using an image tag.

Thanks for the quick reply Bibeault. How do you read the it though. Is it like, if JavaScript is not enabled, execute "FlashDetectServlet.jsp?

Pretty much. It's a way to inform the server-side code that JavaScript is not enabled without having to use JavaScript (which, of course, you cannot do if it's disabled).

Ok, we could as well avoid the jsEnabled=false right? Because it's in the noscript tags and noscript tags are executed only when JavaScript is disabled.

The server-side resource could well be used for other purposes, hence the need for the query param... no way of knowing without seeing it.
