Kindly Suggest For SCBCD 5.0

Hello everyone.
As i mentioned in my previous post, i have recently begun preparing for SCBCD.
Before describing my problem, i must let it be known that I have absolutely no experience in developing EJB's. I have no idea even how to start a server for EJB's.

Right now I am in a dilemma whether to write all the code all by myself using notepad or should i use an IDE like netbeans to develop?
When i prepared for SCWCD and SCJP, i managed without any IDE. But it seems that for SCBCD, if I dont use an IDE, ill have to somehow learn 'ant' as well.

Suggest me something. Suggest me the right way, even if its not easy. Because I really want to pass the exam by learning all the intricacies. But i dont want to reinvent the wheel and waste precious time if its not required by the exam or in real life development.

So, should I use an IDE? If yes, which one? If no, then pleae let me know what else should i learn except 'ant' before proceeding with my study.

Thanking you in advance.

Signing off.
Ryan Sukale.

Start with the book "EJB 3 in Action". After that, use Eclipse, JBoss and the JBoss-tutorial from Bill Burkes book "Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0".

I think this may help you about your IDE concerns.

All these are fine, for good score in EJB exam you will have to read EJB Core and Persistence spec.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
