Eclipse plugins not showing up

Hi,
The IDE that i am using at the moment is MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench, version of eclipse is 3.4.1/Ganymede. i have tried numerous times to add in some helper plugins for my java project, such as XMLBuddy, log4e and last one i tried was eclipse plugin for xquery.

I close down eclipse, and add these plugins but when i restart i cannot see them in my windows preferences or when i customize my perspective. Is this new version of eclipse not picking up these plugins due to old versions or is there something i am doing wrong? Really need help here as it is becoming quite annoying not been able to use soem of these useful plugins.

Thanks,
Shane.
