I saw an episode of south park many years ago where the film festival comes to town and somebody says that all the films are about gay cowboys eating pudding.
So now I see that my housemate has rented brokeback mountain .... do they eat pudding?

Not me. As a fan of the cowboy gendre, I was offended that a film pretending to be a western was really about sheep ranching. (Cattle ranchers _hate_ sheep ranchers. Sheep munch the grass much to low.)
This post will probably be deleted as offensive to sheep ranchers, but I don't care.
Nah - we don't tolerate sheep ranchers much in these parts anyway.

As for Brokeback - haven't seen it yet. I was planning to, but frankly after all the various Brokeback Foo jokes of the last few months, I'm already tired of the movie without having seen in. Which is probably unfair to the movie itself, but oh well.

Apparently they could have been Deer Ranchers, but I guess the opportunity cost was to high compared to traditional ventures in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) so they left that to the Texans.
(Axis Deer? Texas? Apache! No, that is just way too easy)
