Hi Ana,

You won't be able to run some of the code using JDK 1.5. Why not upgrade to 1.6?

All code in my posts, unless a source is explicitly mentioned, is my own.

There are soem differences between JDK 5 and 6 (and SCJP 5 and 6), but I wouldn't say there are really major differences. Obviously, code that was written using things that only exist in the Java 6 API will not compile on JDK 5.

I think that when you've prepared using JDK 5, you'll already know at least 90% of what you need to know for SCJP 6.

Ana,

Jesper is right. Also, you should really upgrade to 1.6, because any code that worked with your 1.5 compiler should work equally for 1.6, but not viceversa (some new things were added in 1.6.)

Don't be confused. Go for SCJP6
