SCEA5-I Passed

Hello Everybody.

Today I passed the first part with 71%

Like others I believe this is one of the most difficult exams among all the Sun certifications, due to the tight time (less than 2 min per question) and because I feel that some questions had more than 1 possible answer (in the topics of Applicability of JEE and Common Architectures)

I had a lot of questions about Common Architectures, Application Design Principles and Patterns whereas I had few questions about security and business tier technologies,

Here are my study resources that I used for this exam:
1. Developing Applications for the Java EE Platform (FJ-310-EE5), Sun Microsystems Course
2. Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies
3. Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE™ Technology Study Guide by Mark Cade and Simon Roberts
4. Whizlabs SCEA5 simulator
5. Certification ePractice Sample Questions, http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/WGS-PREX-10-QUEST.xml
6. This forum.

I used the whizlabs simulator but the level of difficulty of the questions is not close and is easier than the real. Two days before the exam I found and solve the Certification ePractice Sample Questions, I think those questions are much closer of the real exam. Take a look on it, it’s free.

Well, now I will work in the Factory Homes assignment.

Thanks to all for your post, they helped to me a lot, especially of the all brave guys that already have done the exam.

Good luck to everybody
