funny thing is when I was in a proj 6 yrs back, our co-developers in UK did actually put in a tool called CodeMonkey. This allows you to put comments in your code (like To-Do etc.., prioritize them like severe, critical etc.) and the Ant build script scans through the comments and stops / continues with the build accordingly!!! Was surprised to see the same name mentioned in the Meaningless Drivel forum!!

It's actually a very common term for entry-level programmers.

Or any programmer relegated to doing mind-numbing assembly line work.

I've been in such a position for half a year now, pushed into maintaining Progress software after the budget for the J2EE project I was working on got butchered for lack of sales (and guess who got the blame for that, one hint: it wasn't the marketing department).
