Doubt about EJB Certification

I'm in a dilemma. Whether to go for SCDJWS 1.4 or SCBCD 1.5 certification.
I've heard that SCDJWS 1.4 is obsolete and very soon Sun will come out with SCDJWS 1.5 exam.
So i thought i'll wait for that. In the meantime, i was thinking that i should get over with SCBCD 1.5 exam. But i've heard that EJB has lost it's popularity and is on the wane. How relevant and beneficial would an EJB certificaton be in the current times as well as in the next say 2 years.

Please guide me.

Hi Harvinder,
I don't think so.
EJB is still very useful in some area, although it is very popular as desired when design it.
Some time, EJB is not replaceable.

You're probably referring to EJB 2.1? EJB 3 is currently changing the way people used to think about EJBs... ;)

Also, EJB is not the only topic covered in SCBCD. It also covers the very popular JPA which is inspired by Hibernate.

JPA can be used in both Desktop and Web environments so its a pretty useful technology.

If I'm not mistaken, SCDJWS 1.5 is already out (I think I saw it from Sun's certification page).

SCJP 1.2 (89%), SCWCD 1.3 (94%), IBM 486 (90%), SCJA Beta (96%), SCEA (91% / 77%), SCEA 5 P1 (77%), SCBCD 5 (85%)
