Can we use JMS messaging for inbound connection barred Server?

Most of our client they wont give inbound connection to access their server,so suppose i am implementing jms messaging to send message to client, in this situation jms messaging will work or not?
because jms messaging architecture the server will send the notification for durable or non durable subscriber. so is jms work for inbound connection blocked server?
please suggest me
