This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
We are using Weblogic 9.2 and we are migrating form tables to datagrids for the paging feature. I am getting an error in case if a specific action "colshowsubmit" is performed and then the user sorts on the columns. The reason is the I get a huge URL with the parameter maps inside and IE cannot handle this huge URL length. "colshowsubmit" method is called when the user hits a go button after choosing columns he wants being displayed.
What happens is after that particular action is performed, the request still contains the complete list of parameters which is a huge array. The action :colshowsubmit" is of Method="POST" so its not a problem when the action is performed standalone. But then if that action "colshowsubmit"is followed by hitting the sort arrow on columns ( since the request still contains the huge array and this particular action is "GET" method) I get an error in IE browser.
1)Is there a way to increase the url length capacity in IE broswer?
2) Is there a wayto refresh the parameter map?
3) Does anyone know how to convert the "GET" request with sortAction in netui-data:headercell into "POST"
