Hi,

My search has come to end now and specific too.

Plz advice (any one who have used), which one is better amoung SE 750i and Nokia 6230i?

Nokia 6230i v/s SE 750i

Both models are available in India, has almost same features like FM, Music Player, Camera etc (probably, thats why I am confused even more).

Plz advice.

Thanks a lot.

Hmm,

i believe Nokia will be better.

Assuming you stay in india, so the performance of Nokia handsets in indian market should be well known to you. I have personally used Nokia 6230i, though for gprs facilits only, and let me tell you, I feel 6230 is pretty fast for any application.

Second Point -> NOKIA's Customer Care. In India, at most of the places, you will find a Nokia Care shop easily. I am not very sure about SE's after sale services.

And last but not the least where Nokia's will definitely out-perform SE's, THE BATTERY BACK UP.

Postive point for SE - better handset LOOKS WISE. (Thats my thinkin).

Till Now - NO.

But I dont use it full time. I use it either for testing purposes(j2me games) or for internet on PC using its bluetooth and gprs facility.
But the navigation in this handset and the speed of applications is really fast.
SE's tend to have some latency period when you scroll through its menus or open up and close any application.

Having said that, if i were you - I would have gone for SE in place of nokia . Only because there are SOO many nokias all around. Every person seems to carry nokia handset. So just to feel different from the crowd.
I am not trying to confuse you, BUT I told you what I KNOW and what I FEEL.

hi all,

I have been following this thread since it was created by Rathji as even I am in the same delima. Didn't post any comment as my knowledge about phones is limited.

After reading all the replies and researching a little myself, I found that though one can blindly trust Nokia but this model 6230i initially had few problems

reviews

Hope Nokia has fixed all the bugs.

Regarding SE 750i, I think is stylish with bigger screen (atleast compared to 6230i) and cystal clear sound since its SONY.

A very interesting thing I read in these revires is this

A major disadvantage I recently found out is that: THERE'S NO MPEG/MP4 PLAYER for the K750i! You can only watch your own videos.

So I am kinda confused. Any suggestions ???

I would suggest K750i.

Reasons :
1. 2.0 MP camera vs 1.3
2. Flash
3. Bigger LCD

Maybe more

I would choose the K750i.
I don't know about anywhere else but here in Indonesia if both SonyEricsson and Nokia each has a model that has similar features, the Nokia model is usually more expensive but sold more. But now after the launch of the new Walkman Phone W550i and W800i models, SonyEricsson has got more attentions from the mobile phone users.

what happened to getting a phone to make phonecalls...

I'd snap up a 6110 ASAP if Nokia were to resume production of the model and ditch all that hightech gadgetry.

Everyone's talking about which has the better videocamera, but what about sound quality of the telephone speaker and microphone?
