intern method

Hello all ,

can anyone give me a good example of how to use intern() method for string to refer to the same string object.

 public class Test {
	public static void main(String[] args) {
		String str1 = "Java Ranch";
		String str2 = new StringBuffer("Java ").append("Ranch").toString();
		String str3 = str2.intern();
		System.out.println(str1 == str2);
		System.out.println(str1 == str3);
	}
}
