Whats Next

Hi ranchers
I have just completed the SCWCD exam. But now i want to do something other than java. Where should i start (IBM Wepsphere/BEA WebLogic / Oracle OCA / Linux+ )......or should i stick with java only.

I think what you do "next" really depends on what you're looking to do professionally with the certifications and where you're going with your career.

Certainly, each of the ones you mention are good roads to be going down. The first two would be good if you're working for a company that uses either technology, or are looking for a job with those technologies. The third would certainly be useful in quite a few positions (though there are also a lot of companies that keep database work separated from the Java developers). The last I would imagine would be most useful if you were moving into more of an operations direction.

But, that's the question to ask yourself - "what do I want to be doing with all this?" - and that will guide you to the next exam (if any).
