At Manipal these days......

Enjoying my time here at Manipal, a town tucked away in the cools hills of South Karnataka. There is incessant rains which never ceases to stop. Away from the huzz-buzz of city life to spend a few days in this wonderful place.

There is this wonderful Manipal Academy of Higher Education, with its world famous Engineering (I studied here ) and Medical colleges.
We get to see world class facilities here. However, just 3-4 kms from this place is the lush green remote typical Karnataka villgae. We hence get to see both sides of the coin here.

A place worth visiting!!

Manipal is a pretty nice place. The Pai family has done a good contribution to Karnataka and South Kanara. I visit it if I can when I am in India. I am from Goa but have a lot of friends and relatives in South Kanara. I love South Kanara. As a teenager, I used to visit Manipal as we used to consider it "hep" because of the sheer number of foreign students and the alternate lifestyles. Good memories.
