Is it possible to increase servlet response timeout period? If yes How?

There's no concept of a "servlet response timeout period". If you are talking about how long the browser will wait for a response, that's a browser setting and has nothing to do with Servlets or anything else on the server side.

And no, you cannot change the browser setting under code control.
