Creating a Portlet

I am new to portlet need some help..

I need to create a JSR 168 portlet, which would display contents whch are fetched from an XML file..

I am using RAD 6.0 and websphere portal server 6.0

Please help..

Hi Rohan,

Try going through JSR-168 spec, JSR-168 API doc and IBM WebSphere Portal InfoCenter where you can find documentation about how to develop standard(JSR-168) portlets. IBM Redbooks are also an excellent source. Also, you can search in IBM DeveloperWorks.

Thanks Bimal.

Actually I have already started developing the portlet, and also tried to deploy it on Websphere Portal Server v5.1.
But I am unable to see my portlet. I get the message 'The portlet is unavailable'. I tried to search for the error, but couldnt find a possible solution.
