Java and XML are used for writing Android Applications..... XML us uses for designing UI

What languages can be use in development of Android, which is the most supported and which is used in book?


This was asked elsewhere in the forum.

Java is the main programming language for applications built to the SDK. C is also used, but only for firmware development.

Languages that can run on the JVM without building their own bytecodes can also work on Android. However, you need to factor in the size of those languages' runtimes when choosing a language.
