Hi,
I am new to web services. I need to expose some functionality as web service. It is spring based application. I would like to use Apache cxf.
I have following requirements

1. I have VMWare and Java SE 6
is given to me.
2. Spring and Hibernate persistance is given to me

What are my options about application server. Do we need App Server? can't I use spring container itself probably with remoting?

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
