I am new to web services. I need to expose some functionality as web service. It is spring based application. I would like to use Apache cxf.
I have following requirements
1. I have VMWare and Java SE 6
is given to me.
2. Spring and Hibernate persistance is given to me
What are my options about application server. Do we need App Server? can't I use spring container itself probably with remoting?
It is sorta covered in the
JavaRanch Style Guide
subject: webservices - do I need application server?
Application Structure- Spring, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Queue
Spring security authentication using RMI
Spring insinde or outside J2EE containers
For Web Service, if I have WAS and RAD, do I still need Axis ?
