I suppose that depends on whether the hotel washes the towels or not. Hotels in my experience use only white towels and sheets so that they can wash them in a bleach solution, which sterilizes them pretty darn well.

I had similar doubts when I started travelling recently. So, I asked my doctor about it.
The doctor said it is ok; suggested to carry some disinfectant wipes and make sure to clean the food tray and arm rests while on the plane.
maybe you should stop licking the arm rests and food tray...

i suppose it depends on where you are staying. if it is the only motel for 500 miles in mexico somewhere there might be a concern. bedbug have been in the news recently. they are very hard to kill and they like to latch onto your stuff so you can take them to their new home...your bed
