Just curious, do you think using Hotel provided towels is hygienic?

Once you get them home and wash them in bleach they are.

I suppose that depends on whether the hotel washes the towels or not. Hotels in my experience use only white towels and sheets so that they can wash them in a bleach solution, which sterilizes them pretty darn well.

Yes, the bed spread should be handled with rubber gloves. Just pull it off the bed and stuff it in the closet for the whole time you're there.

Better than not showering during your vacation

If you have a decent hotel, the towels (and bedsheets) are likely to be cleaner than the ones you have at home.

As far as there are not stains, strange smells and some "significant" issue I can't ignore looking at the towels I would be fine to use it...

I had similar doubts when I started travelling recently. So, I asked my doctor about it.

The doctor said it is ok; suggested to carry some disinfectant wipes and make sure to clean the food tray and arm rests while on the plane.

i suppose it depends on where you are staying. if it is the only motel for 500 miles in mexico somewhere there might be a concern. bedbug have been in the news recently. they are very hard to kill and they like to latch onto your stuff so you can take them to their new home...your bed

I never took notes in college. That's how I got a 4.0 the first 2 years, and a 3.5 the second two years.

Bedbugs?! I would start with some words. They are THE worst thing on planet earth. I would stand *anything* compared to them. bedbugs.

Ernest, never mind at first I read it, "whether hotel washes the towel or towel washes the hotel?" :P
